Geboren am 7. April 1948 in Stuttgart, verheiratet, 3 Kinder. Mit 10 Jahren Geigenunterricht, später Klavier und Gitarre, ab 1968 Studium der Ton- und Bildtechnik an der Hochschule Düsseldorf und Komposition bei Milko Kelemen und Günther Becker, Gitarre bei Dieter Kreidler an der Robert-Schumann-Hochschule Düsseldorf. Während seines Studiums Mitglied verschiedener Bands (Free Jazz, Rock, Pop). 1972 bis 2020 Lehrer für Gitarre an der Musikschule in Langenfeld. Abschluss mit Diplom in elektronischer Musikkomposition. 1970 Teilnahme an den Darmstädter Ferienkursen für Neue Musik (Stipendium). 1984 erste Experimente mit Computermusik am Institut für Kommunikationsforschung und Phonetik der Universität Bonn mit Programmen zur Klangsynthese und Klanganalyse für den Kontron-Computer PSI 80. Teilnahme an Kursen zur Computermusik: 1985 bei der Groupe de musique expérimental de Bourges und 1988 an der Technischen Universität Berlin. 2002 Teilnahme an den Stockhausen-Kursen in Kürten. Neben Kompositionen für akustische Instrumente (einschließlich 'experimenteller' Instrumente) hat er eine große Anzahl von Werken elektroakustischer Musik (zeitgenössische klassische Musik) komponiert. Unter anderem sind mittlerweile über 90 Werke für Tonträger (sogenannte Tonbandmusik) entstanden. 1980 Preis für Komposition in Düsseldorf und Einladung zu den ISCM World Music Days in Tel Aviv.
